金秋惠风送爽，少儿风采飞扬。10月11日，一年一度的上海中学国际部运动周隆重拉开帷幕。
During the beginning of Autumn on October 11th, Shanghai High School International Division welcomed its annual Sports Carnival with grand splendor.
浦西校区一至三年级
体育精神，团结力量
10月11日上午，带着期待的心情，踏着整齐的步伐，国际部浦西校区小学段一至三年级的同学们进入篮球场，迎来了欢快精彩的运动狂欢节。
来自3（1）班的Tianyao作为学生代表分享了他对体育精神的理解。国际部浦西校区一至三年级学段主任张怡老师发言，她期望大家能享受运动带来的快乐，同时宣布了一个好消息：二、三年级学生从下周起将开始冰上课程的学习。中国短道速滑传奇人物——世界冠军杨扬向同学们介绍了北京冬奥会，并鼓励大家追求体育精神，塑造强健体魄。
发言结束后，同学们的啦啦操表演闪亮登场。在动感的音乐声中，孩子们展示出了蓬勃的朝气，他们的笑容为运动场增添了活力。
随着国际部初小段校长刘炼老师宣布运动狂欢节正式开始，同学们在三个场馆间轮转体验丰富的运动游戏，并聆听了一场健康讲座。
为了培养学生的团队合作精神和集体荣誉感，本次运动节活动均为集体项目。无敌风火轮、精准制导、竞速毛毛虫、穿越障碍......每个游戏都异常精彩。比如，在“竞速毛毛虫”游戏中，每组四个同学骑跨在“毛毛虫”上，集体前行至标志桶处再绕回起点，十分有趣，且非常考验团队合作能力。同学们在班主任的带领下积极参与各项活动，挥洒汗水，迸发出无限活力。
本次狂欢节还安排了部分有冰上运动基础的同学在新建的室内冰场做展示。不久的将来，越来越多的同学都能够体验冰上项目的乐趣。
此次运动狂欢节，同学们收获了健康、快乐与自信，学会了拼搏和坚持，更懂得了团结的重要性。相信这些闪光的精神会在今后的生活中指引孩子们健康成长。
Puxi Campus Grades 1-3
On the morning of October 11th, the Sports Carnival of Puxi grades 1 to 3 was conducted on the school campus. Students entered the basketball court with excitement and enthusiasm.
Tianyao from class 3(1), the representative of student athletes, shared his understanding of sportsmanship. Ms. Zhang Yi, the director of SHSID Puxi Campus grades 1-3, encouraged students to pursue their love for sports. Also, she brought the good news that starting from next week Ice Skating Classes would be open for grade two and three students. Yang Yang, Chinese short-track speed skating legend and world champion, introduced to students the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and inspired students to build a healthy and strong body and display sportsmanship.
Then, the gymnastics performance began. The dynamic music, students’ vitality, and their smiles added energy to the playground.
Mr. Liu Lian, SHSID middle and primary school principal, officially announced that the sports meet had begun. Students experienced various sports events over three sites and they also attended a wellness lecture.
In order to cultivate students’ teamwork spirit and collective sense of honor, all the activities students participated in were team-based events, such as Super Wheeler, Bucket Ball Shootout, Caterpillar Dash, and an obstacle race. Among them, Caterpillar Dash was a fun but difficult game, which involved a lot of teamwork skills. The game required four children in each group to ride on the “Caterpillar,” move forward collectively to the sign bucket, and then go back to the starting point. Led by their homeroom teachers, students engaged in various sports activities.
Students with ice skating experiences performed at the new indoor skating rink located in the Zhongxing Building. In the near future, there will be more students able to experience the fun of ice skating.
During the Sports Carnival, students gained health, happiness, and self-confidence. They learned to try hard and persevere, while unity was emphasized as well. These shining spirits will surely guide the growth of children in the future.
临港校区一年级
运动场上赛英姿 小小健儿砺斗志
10月11日上午，国际部临港校区迎来了第一届校园趣味运动会。伴随着节奏欢快的进行曲，孩子们笑容满面、意气风发地迈入赛场。
首先，国际部临港校区主任傅冰老师致欢迎辞。她提到临港校区运动会的井然有序和精彩纷呈离不开上中东校的全力支持与老师们的精心安排，更少不了每一位幕后工作人员和志愿者的辛勤付出。她希望孩子们在赛场上尽情挥洒，尽享运动。随后，来自1（1）班的Robert同学作为运动员代表分享了自己在体操及跆拳道练习中的收获，他鼓励大家每日坚持运动，在日复一日的锻炼中强身健体、磨炼意志。上海中学东校校长徐岳灿老师和国际部初小段副校长刘芳老师也出席了本次运动会，他们鼓励同学们奋力拼搏、赛出风采。
随后，同学们的集体操展示将开幕式推向了高潮。昂扬的热情、奋进的姿态、积极的风貌赢得了一旁家长和老师们连连称赞喝彩。师生合唱环节掀起了又一股“热浪”，中外教老师们优美婉转的嗓音搭配孩子们稚嫩可爱的童声扣人心弦，“相聚在临港”的美妙旋律在校园里久久回荡。出色的表演令人难忘，精彩的赛事更令人期待！一声哨响，刘芳校长宣布，上海中学国际部临港校区第一届校园运动会正式拉开帷幕！
运动场上气氛热烈，掌声不断。同学们在集体项目中培养默契、增进友谊；在个人项目中拼尽全力、展现风采；在亲子项目里加强联结，团结协作。全力冲刺的英姿和此起彼伏的呐喊声，都是令人难忘的精彩时刻，也都将一一镌刻在金秋十月的校园史册上。
此次运动会趣味十足，挑战满满。赛后，同学们纷纷表示，赛场上的他们紧张又兴奋，虽然累得大汗淋漓，但却乐在其中。他们不仅体验到运动的快乐、合作的力量、成功的喜悦，也展示了不畏困难、勇往直前、坚持到底的可贵品质。
Lingang Campus Grade 1
On the morning of October 11th, the first school Sports Meet of the Lingang campus officially kicked off, accompanied by cheerful music and excited faces.
First, Ms. Fu Bing, the director of SHSID Lingang campus delivered a welcome speech. She expressed her sincere thanks for the support of East Shanghai High School (ESHS) and all the hard work from the staff members and parent volunteers. She also encouraged all students to try their best and enjoy sports. Then, Robert from class 1(1) shared his experiences from gymnastics and Taekwondo, suggesting that everyone develop the healthy habit of doing sports every day and building up their persistence. Mr. Xu Yuecan, ESHS Principal, and Ms. Liu Fang, SHSID middle and primary school vice principal, attended the sports meet and shared their sincere messages hoping all students could push forward and give their best performance.
The rhythmic gymnastics performed by all students pushed the opening ceremony to a climax. There was continuous applause from the parents and teachers after the students demonstrated their enthusiasm and positive outlook in the performance. The singing by the teachers and students won another wave of cheers! Soon after, Ms. Liu Fang announced the Sports Meet had officially begun!
There was lots of laughter and cheering going on! Students forged and strengthened their bonds of friendship through both the Paddle and Obstacle Relays, showcased their great sports skills in the Chicken Chuck, and worked collaboratively with their parents in the Super Wheeler activity. All of these memorable moments will be embedded in SHSID history.
This Sports Meet was full of fun and challenges! Many students said they were nervous and excited and quite enjoyed the exertion! Not only had they experienced the happiness, the power of collaboration, the joy of success that sports bring, they also displayed the valuable traits of taking up challenges and holding strong, despite the difficulties.
运动的脚步从不停歇，体育运动对孩子个人成长与发展的影响是深远的。愿上中国际部的小小健儿们在人生不同的赛场上不断超越自我，勇创佳绩！
The importance of sports in the life of young students is invaluable in terms of their mental and physical growth. We hope that all SHSID students continue to reach beyond themselves and strive for greater achievements not only in sports but also in their own lives.
